Parental Rights
A parent’s right to raise their children as they see fit is a time-honored American tradition, but today it is being threatened. The Supreme Court’s Troxel v. Granville decision in 2000 undermined a 75-year heritage of Constitutionally-protected, fundamental parental rights, which 8 of the 9 justices abandoned. At the same time, a growing body of international law fuels activist judges to legislate foreign standards from the American bench, while treaties such as the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child would subject parental decisions to government oversight and international review.
Rep. Pete Hoekstra (MI-2) has proposed HJR-42, the Parental Rights Amendment, to stop the erosion of parental rights in American courts while simultaneously defending our laws from international invasion. Please, visit parentalrights.org to learn more about the Amendment, and to join their email network by signing the petition to protect parental rights.
This is a subject close to Hubby and I's hearts. I urge everyone to check out the information on the website above.

Sorry I'm late getting this out. As some of you know, I haven't been feeling well and it's taken me a while to "get moving" this morning. But I did finally get my menu plan done, so here it is :o)
Monday: Tacos with taco style lentils and rice
Tuesday: Lasagna with garlic bread and salad
Wednesday: Leftovers
Thursday: Breakfast (Munchkin's birthday, she got to pick what's for dinner :o))
Friday: Tatter tot casserole
Saturday: Roast with potatoes and carrots
Sunday: BBQ at my parents to celebrate my bother's and Munchkin's birthday's. I know I'm making the cakes, but not sure if I'm bringing anything else.

Life, Lay-offs and Prayers
Hubby has the possibility of another job, but it would mean a career change. He currently works for an excavation company and this new opportunity would be in a mortgage office. He would be a mortgage banker. The hard part will be the fact that it is hard to make money while in training. But, since he's not really making anything right now, we figure we don't have much to loose, lol. We are trying to spend time with the Lord and seek His guidance on this. The couple who have offered him the opportunity are Christians also, so they understand that this isn't a decision that should be made on a whim. We would appreciate any prayers during this time.
Blessings,
Glennda

Look what I made!!
I also knitted a reusable cover for my Clorox Ready Mop, but I forgot to take a picture of it before I used it (oops!). Now it's rather dirty, so I don't want to post a picture of it :o).
