What a beautiful day!!!

It was such a beautiful afternoon that I took the kids outside to get a few pictures. Then I had fun editing the pictures and trying out some neat effects. Here are a few of the results.

I think this is probably my favorite. The red rose on B & W just looks so cool!

The soft focus just makes this picture look so beautiful!

I didn't edit this one. I thought it was a great picture by itself.

I really like this one too! It's hard to get a good one of all three of them together!

Hope you enjoyed these as much as I did!

Birthday's

We decided to celebrate the June birthdays together this year. So we celebrated Munchkin's, my brothers and my birthdays in one big celebration. Here are a few pictures.

Here is the cake I made for Munchkin's birthday.

Here are "the kids" waiting for the candles to be lit (the brownies were my brothers and my "cake")

Memorial Day Weekend

These pictures are a little old now, but I still wanted to share them. We went to the coast for Memorial Day Weekend and these are a few of the stops we made on our way home.

This is the light house at Yaquina Bay.

These are from the beach we stopped at to play.

These are some pelicans that flew over us while we were playing on the beach.

This is Heceta Head light house.

Ballet pictures

I'm a little behind in my blogging, so I'm going to try to get caught up :o) These are the pictures I took from Munchkin's ballet class. She is in the costume she wore for her ballet performance.

I hope you enjoy them!

Parental Rights

A parent’s right to raise their children as they see fit is a time-honored American tradition, but today it is being threatened. The Supreme Court’s Troxel v. Granville decision in 2000 undermined a 75-year heritage of Constitutionally-protected, fundamental parental rights, which 8 of the 9 justices abandoned. At the same time, a growing body of international law fuels activist judges to legislate foreign standards from the American bench, while treaties such as the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child would subject parental decisions to government oversight and international review.

Rep. Pete Hoekstra (MI-2) has proposed HJR-42, the Parental Rights Amendment, to stop the erosion of parental rights in American courts while simultaneously defending our laws from international invasion. Please, visit parentalrights.org to learn more about the Amendment, and to join their email network by signing the petition to protect parental rights.

This is a subject close to Hubby and I's hearts. I urge everyone to check out the information on the website above.

Menu Plan for June 1st

Hello All,

Sorry I'm late getting this out. As some of you know, I haven't been feeling well and it's taken me a while to "get moving" this morning. But I did finally get my menu plan done, so here it is :o)

Monday: Tacos with taco style lentils and rice

Tuesday: Lasagna with garlic bread and salad

Wednesday: Leftovers

Thursday: Breakfast (Munchkin's birthday, she got to pick what's for dinner :o))

Friday: Tatter tot casserole

Saturday: Roast with potatoes and carrots

Sunday: BBQ at my parents to celebrate my bother's and Munchkin's birthday's. I know I'm making the cakes, but not sure if I'm bringing anything else.

For more menu plans and a giveaway, visit Organizing Junkie.

Blessings,
